Case Studies
We take pride in focusing on each individual situation. Below are how we have applied creative tools such as workshops, design sprints, and coaching to guide our partners to successful outcomes.

Discovery Lab & Design Sprint
We worked with a cross-functional team selected to deliver them a customized discovery workshop and build cross-organizational alignment.
Representing the interests of over 1,500 people, the team had struggled to focus on a product that fit the diverse needs. In a one-day workshop, the team worked through interviews of different positions, charted demos, delivered a sketched framework, and allowed the junior workforce to choose which features worked best for them.
The end product resulted in senior military leaders with a usable interface document that outlined developmental pathways for their members that was pre-vetted as value-added by those that would use it most.
One-day Strategy Development Lab

We worked with a leadership retreat for a senior military team to align subordinate leadership teams and chart a vision.
Representing the interests of over 2,000 people the 25-member team was composed of many new leaders. This was their first time meeting, and the diverse workforce had equally important, but vastly different initiatives. We trained 4 local co-facilitators to assist and increase local buy-in. The team led a 3-day offsite and advised the newly trained facilitators.
After two days, the team had aligned on the top 5 initiatives they would work for the next year and produced an action plan to meet those goals. On the final day, the teams created short slides and presented the senior officer with a formal out brief, complete with tracking metrics. Within one year, all goals had been met and exceeded. The team was awarded as the top performing unit in a 6,500 member organization.

Discovery Lab
An innovation team was exploring how to better manage talent within a 6,000 member organization. We led a 5-member team on a discovery session to determine a viable path to test. The team designed a new position that would be charged with key duties.
Consulting Period
The innovation team conducted short iteration sprints to develop and tweak the responsibilites of the position. This was finalized into a formal presentation, pitched, and accepted by senior military officers. The product spread and became a "best practice."
Design Sprint
After formal approval and authority to expand, the team conducted follow-up design sprints to validate user interface systems. The position became a staple of talent management for nearly 7,000 members in the Department of Defense.
